im so used to ie, change will be hard...but not that hard if its as good as all relate
Sandboxie doesn't replace you browser, it simply isolates it from your system while in use, so you will still be able to use IE and it won't look or behave any differently.

Having said that, you need to understand that what you do in a sandboxed browser is not necessarily protected from malware which could potentially also be running within the same sandbox unless you configure Sandboxie correctly to prevent it. Of course, when you close the sandbox (and delete it's contents) any malware that may be running would disappear, along with any changes you may have made to IE's configuration for example.

To put it another way, imagine you are surfing the web randomly but within a sandboxed IE, you happen to hit a page that somehow manages to install a keylogger. This keylogger will not have been installed on your system as it's trapped within the sandbox - so far so good, as there's nothing much to worry about - simply deleting the contents of the sandbox will remove it as if it had never been there. However, if you aren't aware of the presence of the keylogger running in the sandbox, and you simply carrying on your surfing session, head over to a secure site of some sort, and log in, then that keylogger can still capture your password etc and transmit it over the internet to a third party, all from within the sandbox.
This is a pretty unlikely senario, but not impossible, so it serves to illustrate the point.

So, when you first start using Sandboxie, it's worth reading through the configuration info so that you know how to set it up correctly to prevent unwanted programs from running inside the sandbox, or accessing the internet, or accessing certain personal files on your hard drive etc. Once you install Sandboxie and go through the configuration settings it will become clearer and less complicated so please don't let this put you off! Just take your time to fully understand it.

Once you have installed Sandboxie I would suggest you work through the "Getting Started" tutorial located here.

Take your time setting it up, and of course if you get stuck on anything, just ask again here although I would suggest you start a new thread of your own for further advice on setting up Sandboxie.

Yes please, if you require further advice, or have any queries regarding Sandboxie, starting a new thread would be good.
