You can install from DVD Test it on a Virtual environment or Upgrade from Windows 7/ Vista What do you want to do? Please post your pc specifications and I can guide you through the process. DO YOU UNDERSTAND , that Windows 8 Developer preview is an unfinished O.S. with bugs, etc, etc?

Thank you. Your PC meets the requirements.
-Download Windows 8 D.P. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/br229516 -Burn ISO you downloaded into DVD or mount it as an image with a tool like Daemon Tools. - If you burned it. Restart your computer and boot your pc from DVD (the easy method usually is by pressing F10 or F11 while booting and choose DVD) -If mounted (only Windows 7/ Vista) just run Setup.exe inside DVD image In both cases installation begins and you'll be guided by Windows installation itself. Remember, this is only an evaluation version, not even a Beta yet. It is made for developer so they can start building applications.

Harry, If you want to just try out the metro interface then you would be better off with 'Metro7'. http://www.metro7app.com/
