Hello.
I recently bought a whole new computer and installed win7 64 bit on it. Everything works like a charm, except for some programs. Some of the programs that worked fine before on my old machine (with same network setup) are now telling me "You are not connected to the internet" Is there quick solution here? I'm new with Win7 and have no idea what could cause this.I am connected to the internet for sure, because all the games work, win update works, browsing works etc. Those "network errors" mainly occur when istalling or submitting information to Internet. For example when trying to send results from 3dMark2011 or trying to connect spotify to facebook or trying to update Java. Win7 Firewall is not alerting or asking anything. There are no specific rules to these programs in the firewall what so ever. |

You might try running the program in XP compatibility mode.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...lity-mode.html Or even downloading and installing the XP Virtual PC software for Window 7 which is free. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...indows-xp-mode

The Windows 7 firewall may be blocking some of your programs. Go to this link to see how to fix this.
