Install Open Office

I am unable to install Open Office 3.3
The installation stops near the end, then uninstalls.
I had Open Office 2.3 and it worked properly.
Any ideas?

I would personally ditch OpenOffice anyway, especially if you are experiencing problems. It is not really being developed anymore.

I, like many others have switched to LibreOffice which is developed by those that used to work on OpenOffice. It is almost identicle, but obviously being developed much more, so has little improvements here and there over OpenOffice.

I'm with this too. Would also suggest running CCleaner before attempting the change. Another option is Kingsoft:
