Hello people,
My external HDD has quite a lot of data contained in the system volume information folder (Approx 14Gb). System restore is not active on this drive & the drive is used specifically for imaging purposes I was wondering if there was a method of emptying & disabling this folder. Any wise assistance offered would be appreciated. Ich

Left click on the recycle bin on the desktop and see how much reserved space is allocated for the trash can for each drive.
It typically reserves up to 10% of the total capacity of the disk drive. I usually manualy adjust it down to 1%. Deleted files go to the recycle bin for later removal or restore. Shift-deleteing a file will bypass the recycle bin and delete the file without saving.
