Default Boost - Weak wireless signal

Hello all,

Could anyone suggest how I could go about enhancing weak wireless signal in my house, I heard of signal repeaters ..are they any good?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Can you be more precise? I presume that you mean a WIFI local network connection to a WIFI router/gateway in your building. You're probably running version g (802.11g) or older (a, b).

There's many articles that will help you:

etc

I know that repeaters can work very well but you should try the other advice first. Like most WIFI devices, repeaters usually work best with matching products from the same vendor.

If you find that you need to get a repeater then it might make more sense to upgrade your version of WIFI particularly if you're still on version a, b, or even g. Of course, if your connecting devices are on a, b, or g then going to version n will require them to be upgraded as well to access the better connection.
