My brother is ill and working from home on his laptop. The company he works for has a vpn network with thousands of computers all over the continent. The network all use vista. He has plugged in at home before without any issue. This time however,he cannot access the internet and the vpn (intranet) at the same time. When he logs on to the vpn network its fine but, if he calls up an internet page it says he is not connected. I tried using IE's diagnose and repair and it repairs the connection but, says you must turn off the vpn. This works but, he must log on to the vpn again to use it and go through the diagnose and repair again to get back to the internet. Solutions??

James, this depends a lot on what vpn client your brother is using. Do a Google search (or your favorite search engine
) using these terms "Split tunneling in Vista" You will find more information than you need.
