The 'My Pictures' folder on my Samsung 1TB SATA Hard Drive does not show up when I explore. I am using this as an external drive in a docking station, I only use it for data storage i.e. music, videos and photos.
When I do a 'properties' the total usage is about 230gig, the other folders (my music,my videos and one called our house total about 85gig. So I'm assuming that the data is physically there, but, for some reason it's not being recognised. I have run check for errors and defrag but without success. Can you offer any advice? Best Regards John |

Check if the folder is hidden?
If yes, then in Windows Explorer, go to Tools > Folder Options > View, tick show "hidden files, folders or drives", then click "Apply to Folders" button and see if the files in that folder will show up.

You could also do a "Search" files for *.jpg or *.bmp on just that drive and use
advanced options tab "search hidden files or folders". Then if the folder was not only hidden but also accidentially moved, you coul still locate the files and folder.
