Default Laptop/Desktop - Adapter

Hello all, I want purchase a harddrive adapter so that I can extract data from my laptop and desktop hard drives, just want to know what type would be appropriate, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what you mean, I have a couple of these Thermaltake docks:

They work very well, handle 2.5" and 3.5" SATA bare internal drives, with USB, and a choice of USB3 or eSATA interface. You can hot-swap, boot from them, clone or image drives easily, great for testing, etc. I love the little guys. Watch the temps though.
