Hello! I've been a subscriber to Gizmo's newsletter for several years but haven't been here more than once or twice; I usually go back through all the past copies of the newsletter...
So I've gotten a lot older and a little bit wiser and have read a few of the great debates (or soap boxes, lol!) here for cache cleaners; other sources have recommended Ccleaner as well but I wanted to see what Gizmo says! In my reading however, I haven't found a link for a free download... does one exist or am I misinterpreting what I've read? I'm sorry to begin another thread when I'm guessing the information is here... I'm simply not looking in the right place, as usual. ![]() I have a 4.5 year old Gateway laptop which is my first computer, with Windows XP and I'm self taught so please be gentle!! Your help will be greatly appreciated. ![]() Debbie |

Go to either of these links:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard They're both under the "priority support" box. |

Thank you, J.L. & Bo!
![]() I'll try the version with no toolbar first and hopefully be successful! My MSN has components of IE7 which it requires to run, however I prefer to use my MSN Explorer via my Verizon Broadband when using Google or other searches; bing is a joke IMO. But for the majority of my usage, I use Firefox because my forums of choice are graphic intense (Paint Shop Pro) and FF is much more efficient. I mention that because as a part of my AOL, there's a One Click Fix where I can clear my cache but it specifies IE only. Since I'm bouncing back & forth, I need to make sure I'm clearing everything. I'll be back here more often now that I know (as in reminding myself!) that I have this as a great resource with helpful people. Looks like I have a lot of reading to do! Again, many thanks ![]() Debbie |
