My boss told me he is missing 1 year of emails in MS Outlook 2007. He had over 50K emails in his archived folders and it would freeze. We called in a technician who I'm guessing put some of them into .pst folders (which are on his C drive).
My boss wants me to locate where the missing folders are and restore them. Here's my question. First of all I don't know which of the .pst folders the missing emails are in soooooooo if I try to restore these will it mess up the current email box? Or, can I restore them onto a DVD to try? I don't want him to be furious with me and I am far from a technician. Thanks alot everyone - Rose |

One of the first things I learned in management training it how important it is to match your expectations to the capabilities of those you expect to deliver them
![]() This is not to demean your own skills in any way but if these things are so important then IMO he should have retained the technician to complete the whole job. Unfortunately I can't offer any constructive help but no doubt someone here can. Best of luck - hope he remembers you come "secretary's day!"

In the interim of hopefully someone stepping in here with some first hand knowledge, I found this which might be useful:
