Hi,
I have been trying to download PDFill freeware from PDFill's site and also CNET's site but neither links will run. I do not have any blocks on downloads and have tried with IE and Firefox. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

Have been able to download from both of the links you mentioned at the PDFill website using FF without any problems and therefore, I cannot suggest anything other than do you have admin rights to run the software?
Also, do you have any sort of HIPS installed that may prevent new software from running? Finally, make sure your firewall is configured correctly as it maybe preventing any downloads.

Hi torresmagnifico,
I have not incurred this issue before when downloading files in IE or FF. If a block appears I will disable it. In both IE and FF there is no acivity on the progress bar whilst attempting a download. I do not have any HIPS installed. Thanks. |

Welcome to the forum journeyoflife.
About the download, are you using any download manager to download the setup? As Torres suggests, do you have any firewall that might be interfering with the download? What exact problem are you having. When you click the link, do you get the file to download? Do you get the file, but the download does not start?

Hi Anupam,
I am not using a download manager. When I try to download the program there is no activity on the progress bar apart from the usual sheet of paper flying across the top of the download window. There is also no information against 'Estimated time left'. I am not aware of a firewall blocking the download. I have Norton on my laptop but it always makes itself known if it feels it necessary to warn me against certain downloads. Thanks |

That's strange. I still think something is blocking the download on your system.
I tried downloading the setup on Firefox 3.6.10, without using a download manager. The file started to download just fine with the built-in download manager of Firefox. The problem seems to be at your end. Are you able to download other software, from other sites? Check logs of Norton to see if you can find anything there.

Hi Anupam,
I am using the same version of Firefox as yourself. The Firefox download manager opens up but the download does not run How do I access the Norton log files? I can not seem to locate them. I use Norton 360 on a Win7 machine. Thanks. |
