Really like this site, however I don't like the desktop popping up in the middle of things. Can I remove it?

I have this big Gizmo's Freeware Icon on my desktop?

I have been using the site for years now, and I never had any Gizmo's freeware icon on my desktop. Do you remember how did you get it? And how would an icon appear on the desktop from the browser, unless you save it yourself?

Are you sure you are explaining things properly? Its still not clear to me.

Are you talking about your desktop, or the webpage? Desktop is where you see all the icons of the software you have on your computer, along with the wallpaper.

The webpage is the Gizmo's Freeware webpage. Are you talking about the webpage? If yes, then we are sorry, we can't remove the graphics. It's the Gizmo's Freeware logo !!! How can we remove the logo of our website?

Is it possible that you accidentally set a image from the site here as your desktop background?

To change that right click the desktop with your mouse, then click the link that says "properties." There is a tab called background. On that tab you can select different "wallpapers" as they are called.

Alternatively you can find any picture or wallpaper on the internet you like, right click it, and click the entry that says something like "set picture as desktop background or wallpaper"
