Hi. Been using FileHippo for some time on my desktop, I have an eeepc2GB (fab) and thought I'd keep any progs/applcs up
to date. Was reading the small print and it seems that Linux is not supported. Am I right? Cheers beecee

It is true (in a way) that Linux is not supported as the programs/applications in FileHippo are designed for Windows (unless there's another version designed for Linux). Unfortunately, I haven't use FileHippo before and don't know much about it but from the looks on its homepage, I can tell that the programs/applications are for Windows and therefore, can't be installed in Linux (theoretically speaking of course). But there are some softwares that has a Linux version like Firefox, OpenOffice etc that you could download and use yourself.
If by any chance you were referring to the Update Checker this whole time, then the answer is still the same except there's no Linux version of the Update Checker. |
