The computer does not seem to be performing as poorly as before the tasks were undertaken, but still seems to freeze after clicking an icon, or programme.

Others here will know much more about this than me but I also know that your memory modules all need to have the same frequency. They can still be the same make and capacity, but have different frequencies. One more thing to check out.

I no longer service PC's and when I did this was one of the areas dealt with by someone else but certainly memory upgrades were one of the main causes of system hardware problems.
