Vista Acer Empowering Technology

I have a acer 3100 with acer empowering technology can anyone give me some advise on if it serves a good purpose or not can i delete will it interupt operation of my computer?

I have an Acer 3100 with vista basic along with Acer Empowering Technology it takes up a lot of space and can be annoying is this necessary can it be deleted what will happpen to my computer if it does is there a free replacement that can be installed that serves the same purpose as this Acer Empowering Technology can anyone out there help me PLEASE

This site describes the programs that comprise "Acer Empowering Technology": http://acer-empowering-technology.so....informer.com/
These programs are not essential, so if they are not useful to you, then it should be ok to uninstall them.
But don't just delete the folder, uninstall the software by going to Start Menu => Control Panel => "Uninstall a Program" (under "Programs") or it may be called "Programs and Features"

I got rid of them (uninstalled) after a while and had found that I didn't use them. No ill effects on my Vista laptop that I had at that time.
