Default Adobe flash player use way too much CPU AND RAM

Hello this is the first post here so i will go directly to the point,
I noticed that adobe flash player use too much CPU and memory resources, as i updated my software (double checked), and yet adobe seem to be always "hungry" for more resources. My question is: is there some advanced users that can really analyse what is going on with this crapware adobe player? I mean advanced 3D games do not eat so much cpu and ram than flash player. Im really started to get pist... Also there are really much users that are complaining about this on adobe forum. Thanks and by the way THIS WEBSITE (GISMOS FREWARE & FORUM ) is very good and resourceful.

Welcome to the forum .

Adobe Flash Player is known to take up heavy resources of the computer. Nothing much can be done about it.

What are your system specifications, and which browser are you using? Sharing that might help a bit.

And when do you need flash, for watching videos on YouTube, or something else?

On my Linux system watching flash videos using Firefox is enough to run my cooler into overdrive. The same using Chrome uses a lot less CPU and doesn't .

Thank u for reply and help,
My sys spec.:
amd athlon x64 2.4 ghz dual core
ati radeon x 1650 512 mb
2 g ram
win 7 pro
flash player (latest)
mozilla firefox 19
dx 9.0c
net fx 1.1 to 4.0
...
all software and drivers up to date.
also i play modern warfare 2 without any problems, but when i was playing farmville 2, or watching videos on youtube( 480 px) flash player just start to "eat" my cpu and ram like some unsatable zombie lol, this is just way way too much, in settings i just dont see any ENABLE HARDWARE ACCELERATION BUTTON because adobe stuff obviously decided to remove it. And for the other users i would suggest this: AVOID USING THAT ADOBE CRAP AS MUCH AS U CAN, if u dont want to buy another cpu because of adobe crap.

Thanks for sharing the specs of your system. The system specs are decent enough. Wanted to see if there might be any stuff that might be interfering with flash usage, or any software out of date, etc, but it looks OK. Maybe increasing the RAM a bit may help with this flash issue, but again, who would want to purchase extra RAM just for flash, huh .

I guess nothing can be done for this issue. As written by MC in his post, it maybe an issue using Firefox and Flash Player together. Firefox already uses quite an amount of memory.

I have observed that while running Facebook, Firefox tends to use more memory, and CPU too, because there is so many stuff being updated on Facebook all at the same time. I too used to play Farmville long before, and it too makes the system slow, with Facebook already eating up resources.

I agree flash player is crap, but unfortunately, nothing can be done about it, as there is no alternative yet to start taking its place. Maybe HTML5 in future, but till then, we have to use this crap.

Maybe you can try Chrome to see if it makes any difference, but I don't have much high hopes.

firefox resources are at normal levels, (160 to 200 k)
flash uses up to 1200 k and cpu to 80 percent.
anyways adobe must do sometin with this player or someones cpu will go in flames D
Thanks again for reply
