Re - the initial point, about Thunderbird showing everything before asking for a password, a possible workaround would be to use an exec locker?
I use Resophnotes quite a lot, but it has no master pword thus anybody with access to my PC could open Resoph and read my notes as it auto-signs in to Simplenotes. So I found Kaka exe lock which is brilliant. Portable-ises nicely, and doesn't have to be installed for your *.exe to stay locked or be opened. I realise that for your Thunderbird problem, this would then mean a two-stage and two-pword run... just thought I'd mention it as one possible solution. |
