Hiya,
I have an odd one here. Mate of mine had his HDD fail so I did him a nice new clean XP Pro install on a new drive and he did MSN etc after on my home network. He then takes the computer to his home and hooks it up. Now one of us seems to have a problem with MSN, and it just seems to be between me and him only, no other contacts at either end have seen it. What happens is he can appear to be offline to me and we can send messages and pics as though he was on and "invisible", and he can be there as online and actually be there or he can show as online but any messages fail as "cannot be delivered". He has reported a similar problem at his end but not as often, and if I sign out of Messenger and back in his true status is shown, but he hasn't told me how he "fixes" his end when he has the problem. Both of us are running XP Pro SP3 and Messenger Live 2009, Build 14.0.8117.416. Any ideas on where it is and how to fix it folks? Cheers in advance, Hobbit |

Try MSN in other computer. Sometimes MSN network do not work properly for certain credentials (generally it fix by itself a couple of hours or days later) If this still happening, deleting the "contacts" folder could be a great idea. The location of such folder varies depending OS you use.
