Compatibility problem in MyPaint?

I just bought myself a Trust Slimline graphics tablet, which works with most programs I use, but not MyPaint. This is really disappointing as MyPaint was the main reason that I bought it in the first place! Is there a genuine compatibility problem, or is there something I need to do to make it work? I would be really grateful if anyone can suggest anything that I can do. Thanks.

The MyPaint website fails (as far as I can see) to state which O/S is compatible with the software.

As your graphics tablet works with other software I assume you have the correct drivers installed. However, If you are not certain:

You could also try unplugging the graphics tablet and using your mouse to see whether or not it is a software or peripheral issue.
