Default keyscrambler question

Hi.

I installed keyscrambler a while ago and it seems to work well but I have noticed that it phones home each time I connect to the internet. I was wondering if anyone knows what information (if any) it sends, or if there are any privacy concerns connected with this software. I had a look through the EULA and could not see anything about phoning home.

Thanks for any help.

I have been using KeyScrambler for quite sometime and I did not encounter such behavior. I am using PC Tools Firewall, and I did not find any reference to KeyScrambler in the Applications Section, nor did I get any pop-up regarding this.

Same here, I use kaspersky.
Perhaps you should post the issue on their forums for further help?

Do you have "check updates" on?

There is no pop up, whenever I connect to the internet my firewall detects IE quickly connecting to an IP address. With a little help I found out that it was to do with keyscrambler phoning home. There is more about it here http://www.threatexpert.com/report.a...a6df5a7ce5a834

I followed Rizar's advice about "check updates" and found that keyscrambler was set to check for updates automatically. I unchecked it so the problem may now be solved. I will keep an eye on it and see what happens from now.

Thanks for the help.
