Can someone please assist me in setting up Returnil to use for browsing and surfing protection? Maybe some step by step instruction...? Do I activate Returnil before or after opening my web browser? How do I know that a virtual environment has actually been activated? Unlike Sandboxie it gives no visual confirmation. Thank You

First you need to make sure that nothing is open other than Returnil (unless you plan not to sandbox those programs). Then, right click Returnil's and click enable.
Next time you right-click it, there should be a checkmark next to Enable. Also, it should say that System Safe is enabled on the main gui. Anything you open afterwards will be sandboxed. Restart your system and everything you've done after you enabled it will disappear. If you want to save files, save them in another partition, or the virtual disk Returnil provides. You can also enable Returnil after you restart windows. If you've enabled it before, your sandboxed session will simply continue instead of losing all changes. |
