I wonder if any of you experts can help. I currently use Outlook Express but have problems with stationary that I send to clients along with normal text.
When they reply, the screen shows multiple copies of my stationary and this obscures the text etc. It does not happen with every email only about 30% but is very frustrating as clients cannot read the text properly. Is this a known problem and how can I fix it? I read with great interest the review and comments regarding Thunderbird but if I switch I shall need to import Outlook Express stationary into Thunderbird that I currently am using. Is this possible? Thanks for any assistance and fantastic site. |

I migrated from OE to TB some years ago. I never regret it. However, I am not using stationaries.
The following links might give you more information: How to migrate from OE to TB: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/howdoi/?p=125 http://kb.mozillazine.org/Thunderbir...utlook_Express TB Stationary Add-On: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/4394

Thank you very much for the links. They will definitely assist should I migrate over to Thunderbird which looks likely.
My question regarding my current Outlook Express stationary problem still stands though if anyone has any ideas or can tell me what the issue might be. Thanks again to George and all the posters on the Forums for any assistance. Last edited by Zentracker; 23. Nov 2009 at 04:35 PM. |

I'm not going to be much help either.
However, I just want to say that I hate those stationary's and/or themes in either Outlook Express or Outlook. We don't allow them at work at all. They all add a significant amount of space on our Exchange server. They take up space and almost always create other types of issues. On a personal level, my mother uses Incredimail which adds all kinds of icons and themes, etc. I hate the fact that someone turned her on to it. I much prefer straight email with no themes, icons, or stationary. I encourage you to think about not using it. Most IT professionals would probably agree with me. Again, they take up significantly more space on a server than plain emails.

Thanks for the advice. I refer to only business stationary used for a more professional response to clients etc pre contract stage. I agree with you and never use it is personal mail but normal mail looks so plain without the company logo etc.
Best regards. |

Thank you very much Rhiannon.
The current stationary used was custom designed for my company to add a more professional flair to client requests and letters etc. I never had problems until recently. To give an idea lets say the company sells apples and the logo stationary is therefore an apple. The logo is sent to clients via email but when they respond many times the apple has somehow 'multiplied' itself all over the screen and makes the text unreadable. I wonder if others have experienced this type of situation and what the fix may be. The stationary has been reformatted form original file to make sure the one in use had not corrupted but this has not helped. Thanks again. |
