Hey, I was browsing google for solutions to this stupid routers inability to port forward for uTorrent and i came across a discussion with keroffs and a guy buy the name of Spunked...
Im wondering if there was ever a solution to getting uTorrent to work .... i have Verizon DSL with the 7500 Modem/Router and 3.2 MBPS service, and i have been struggling to see barely anything over 50-100 kbps. I feel like ive tried everything but im getting no results at all. Id appreciate any tips you have for me. Thanks, Matt |

Did you take a look at the user guide that Verizon has for that:
http://www22.verizon.com/Residential...ser+Guides.htm To get to the 7500's options you need to enter http://192.168.1.1 in your browser address. You should then see a sign-in page and the default user name is "admin" and the default password is "password" (both without quotes). Then press the option for "Firewall Settings" and on its sub-screen, choose "Port Forwarding". Then you need to create a new rule allowing the port you are using in uTorrent for both TCP and UDP, both in and out. I do not know if you saw the uTorrent speed guide, but it has some info and screen shots of uTorrent that should help: http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...rent-speed.htm |

Ill take a look at that guide in a couple of hours... Ive tried putting port # 35200 in the 3 spaces in the port forwarding section... and put it in as both UDP and TCP.
But where i get confused is that it doesnt allow for me to put it as both in and out. You can only choose one or the other. Ill be back in a few hours to try it. Thanks keroffs |
