Exclamation Utorrent Not Getting Any Download Speed?!

Hi, I was just reading this guide: http://www.techsupportalert.com/cont...rent-speed.htm

I followed everything on it and nothing works? I have tried so many guides and they dont work. I am only getting like 20 kB/s to download my torrent. I really would like it if I had atleast 150 kB/s I would download torrents and stuff a lot faster! I was told that this forum would help me out!

What's your ISP? If it is listed here, then you may need to enable encryption (Options>Preferences>BitTorrent>Protocol Encryption>Enabled).

If it's still slow, then you may have to force the encryption and/or uncheck "Allow incoming legacy connections", which means every single connection will be encrypted. It usually won't be much better than just enablling it though.

Lastly, you may want to double-check that you've followed every single step correctly on the guide, especially if nothing changed.

I would like to add that you want to be sure you are using a Stable or Final release of uTorrent. The Beta versions may not work properly. You can download the lasted Stable release of uTorrent from here.

What was your result on the speed test for upload and download speeds?

What did you cap upload at?

What was your result at canyouseeme?

As JL pointed out, there may be an issue with your ISP as some do limit bittorrent bandwidth. Depending on your ISP, one of the steps for encyption may help.

As far as getting µTorrent set up properly, the Optimzing µTorrent for Speed guide will help.

I am not sure what you mean by the proper version. The guide has screen shots and info that will help with the latest stable version of µTorrent.

If you are looking for the download of the latest stable µTorrent, it is here:
http://www.utorrent.com/downloads

If you have any questions after using the guide, you can post back here. Please post:
# Your speed test result for both upload and download speed in kiloBytes per second (kBps)
# Your result at canyouseeme, both before taking any steps and after. Just indicate Success or Error do not post your IP address.
