Default Online Armor update

Hello one and all.

Having recently updated Online Armor to issue 3.5.0.32 free, (with keylogging 'switched on'), I've noticed that it is constantly trying to connect: svchost.exe/TCP to a remote address: 192.168.1.254:80.
I haven't been able to find a way to stop this.
Any ideas please.

Cheers

192.168.1.254 is actually local, probably the router itself.
Port 80 is a http (or web) port, so svchost.exe/TCP is probably Windows HTTP Service trying to do normal web stuff.
Stopping this connection (if possible) would probably cause problems or disconnection from internet.

I remember this being reported here by "one of us" some time back but I can't recall exactly who. chris.p comes to mind (blame him anyway)

I'll hunt the threads and see if I can find it.

Now found the thread here

Online Armor - permanent TCP connection - why?

Hello again.
Having read with interest the various messages on this thread, I thought I'd better let you know of the 'low tech' way I've found to get around the constant connection tries.
Literally by trial and error I've found that if you switch to 'learning' mode for a few seconds and then back to normal, it cancels out the problem. The downside of course is that this has to be done at each boot up.

Thanks for all your inputs.

Cheers

Sorry guys....I've jumped the gun! It must of been a series of flukes. Learning mode does not seem to be the answer any more, in my case anyway.

Yep! it's me again.

I've bit the bullet and gone with chris.p's suggestion, ie. to deny (block) in the rules page.
So far so good.

Thanks again
