503 Server Error

This pops up occasionally when I enter the site; it occurs even when I haven't logged in.

I just got this too myself while posting a reply on the forum. However, when I refreshed the page again, my reply was posted.

Yes, happens to me too on occasion and as Anupam says, refreshing the page usually cures it. If it doesn't please check the words/phrases used in your post which may have triggered our spam/blasphemy filter

Same thing happened while editing the article. Almost wasted 30 minutes of my time catching up to content already published here. Thanks for the refresh fix.

Try to use the Back button of your browser and you're back where you were before 503.

Works for me most of the times.

I get this every day editing articles and products.

What I don't understand is why I've lost edits sometimes when going Back.

I now refresh the page to resend the same info and have no problems.

I too got this error today, replying to a post. It looked as though the post was lost, so I re-entered it and ended up with 2 replies being posted.

Thanks for keeping us informed Bo. We're always looking to minimize the occurrence of these events but sometimes another round of settings changes begins to bring them back again.
