Default [Solved] Can't mark forums read

I mentioned this to anup a few months ago by pm (i think it was him :S). Anyways I get an error when I try to mark forums as read.
on this page http://www.techsupportalert.com/free...hp?do=markread I get a vBulletin Message saying

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.
No idea why this happens but been a while so I thought it would fix itself but it never did. So I'm posting this in hopes it gets fixed.

Hi eyeb... yes, we had talked on the PM about this problem. I had raised this issue up with the team, and they were not able to recreate the problem at their end. Its working fine for them. Its working fine for me too.

I had also asked Sope about this... if he faced the same problem. But, he too was not having the problem. So, it seems like only you might be facing the problem for some strange reason.

Maybe any cookie based extension is causing this problem?

I will raise the issue once again, and see if anything can be done about this.

Meanwhile, please check at local level, in case any browser setting, or extension is causing this problem.

I use the "Mark Forums Read" feature a lot but I haven't experienced any problems with it for a long time.

Working fine for me today.

eyeb... George, our administrator, is also stumped about it. He had checked earlier too, when we had reported about this problem a few months ago. He checked again this time, but still cannot find any problem, either with your account, or in the system. Really strange one.

If you want, I can check it out logging in as you, if you are OK with it. After I check it, you can change your password.

Before that, I will suggest to just try one thing, and see if it works. From what limited options I have as moderator, I saw one of your setting in the options... for "Default Thread Cut Off" to be "Show threads from last 0 days". I think it might have something to do with the problem?

Change it to "Use forum default", and see if it achieves anything.

This option can be changed via "User CP" --> Under "Settings and Options" --> "Edit Options" --> Under "Thread Display Option" --> "Default Thread Age Cut Off".

Please change it to "Use Forum Default"... and then "Save Changes".

See if it helps.

.
About that setting above, I don't know what you mean because "Show threads from last 0 days" is not even an option for me. I've attached a picture of the options that it gives me and the "Show threads from last 0 days" isn't there. And I have it set to forum default all along and it's always been that.

hm after trying to change my password, i discovered something interesting.
Under "User CP"->"Edit Your Details"->Edit username, password and Email->input box. I can't use that box, it takes me to http://www.techsupportalert.com/users/eyeb and it says it can't find that page.

I was able to change my password under the "Settings & Options". I'll pm you my password and let you see what's going on.

edit: I dont know why picture didn't attach, I uploaded it somewhere else. http://imageshack.us/m/577/4812/clipboard01n.jpg

eyeb... yes, that setting does not exist, and that's why, I was surprised to find it there. I accessed your profile details from moderator panel, and that's how I saw it. But, as you say, that setting does not exist. Its strange, why it is showing that way then. ... its just weird.

I have discussed about the details in the PM. The feature worked here for me, using your own ID. Another weird thing.

i just tried it with clean install of firefox/chrome and internet explorer and still no go :S

Do you happen to know if it requires something like java/javascript? I have them allowed but restrict the settings so maybe I restricted something too much.

I allowed cookies for the set so I would stay logged in

edit: do you think it could be firewall? I doubt it since browser works fine, its jsut this one thing... But it couldn't hurt to ask or sandboxie?
