Last visit shown incorrectly?

Hi,
I just noticed that the square at the top right corner with the info of my logs, says that my last visit was three days ago, which is incorrect.
I recall it saying the same thing yesteday as well.

Any ideas why?

I think it shows the last login time. Do you close the browser without logging out of the forum?

For me, its showing the last time I had logged in to the forum.

Hi Anupam,
Well, my understanding also was that it shows the last login date & time, but it says that my last login was on July 18th, which is obviously not correct, since I was here (logged in) yesterday and on the day before yesterday.

I never close my browser without first logging out of anywhere I might have logged in.

Really odd.

If you are sure you did log out properly, then it is indeed strange that it should show last visited time of 18th.

I am afraid I won't be able to help more with this. George could tell you about this more, but he is away nowadays. You will get an answer when he returns.

It's alright Anupam, no big deal. It's not like I keep track of my logs on the forum, just find it odd.

This is probably unrelated but I have noticed that when I click "log out",
I am not loged out. I actually get log out after I close the browser.

I sometimes used to have this problem. I would logout of the forum, and was taken to the main page, where I was shown still logged in. I had to then click logout again from the main site. But, this happened only sometimes.

The login procedure has been changed sometime ago. Since then, I haven't come across this problem. Strange.

Will you share more about the problem?

Today it shows the correct Date & Time of last log in.
Go figure.

This happens on my PC all the time and on both browsers(IE8,FF). Gizmo
is the only site where I log in that I dont get log out unless I close the
browsers. It does not bother me but its kind of rare, I think.
In the past I noticed strange things when I loged in but that went away
few months ago.
