Unable to login - login problems

Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has tried to login here with Opera 10 USB? I can't login with it. If you know of a solution please share it with me

Also, does anyone use the installed version of Opera 10 and successfully login?

No problems whatsoever with Opera 10 (installed) for me in relation to this site.

Can't comment on the USB version though.

Hey would you look at this. I got the notification email of your reply and clicked the link from that which opened in Opera 10. I actually had a reply button when getting here, hit that, got asked to login and the login has worked. I just opened the forum home page in a different tab and there is a welcome miskairal there. Yay, Gizmo likes me again

It'll be interesting to see if I remain logged in after I close the browser or reboot or whatever.

I think Gizmo's site login is just a little flaky at times. I've been logged in for inexplicably varying lengths of time, and it's currently telling me I last visited over 5 days ago which is way off! Never actually failed to log in though

Shall we say that the login procedure here has special "characteristics"

This is mainly to do with cookies and partly to do with the sequence of transferring your session from the main page to the forum (if you're that way inclined of course).

Today for a while I could not keep my main page session live and transfer to the forum, it just kept re-directing me back again. Usually clearing cookies and emptying the cache etc. fixes it but for some reason today it didn't. I tried again with Opera 10 and no problem. In this case though I think it was more to do with the new version of Firefox because I also got a whole page of cookie error script when trying to enter another site. For a while Firefox seemed OK again although I've just had to do another cookie dump

One of the other browsers I really like, QtWeb, won't let me log in to the forum as well as the main page either (any time)

This situation is often random but we've all learned to live with it

Ahh, so it may be totally unrelated to Opera 10 USB.
I don't recall ever having any login issues before but it sounds like I've just been lucky

To post this I had to login again. I shall try clearing cookies but the first time I went to login there shouldn't have been any cookies as it was a fresh browser.

I tend to login through the forum and then wander over to the main page afterward. I posted here after contacting Gizmo's via email (because I didn't think to try a different browser first to login) and Chris has tried logging in as me in the same way I do with no success. He has suggested I login from the main page in future.

Not always with Opera USB, I have major problems with this site logging me in with Opera 10 Build 1844, XP Pro SP3. It flat won't log me in and am forced to use the nasty IE8
It will log in on the main site, but will not transfer over to thr forum

Try what Chris suggested to me but first delete all your cookies. Go to the main page and login there first. Don't login in here. I would do it but right now I'm happy to remain logged in and don't want to risk logging out

Or just use Chrome and never have the problem again. I am kinda getting fed up with all the problems in opera anymore that they never want to address. Their forum is kind of a bunch of snobs with their noses in the air

Does Chrome allow you to load images with a single click? This is the one feature I need the most as I'm on a small download limit and surf with images turned off until I get to a page where I want to see the images. Then with a single click I can load the images.
