Next time I'll try logging back in on the forum index page and see if it works.

Flatlands they are working on it. This is a free site so I assume no one gets paid to fix anything and that it's all done voluntarily. Be nice, it gets you further in life
Thanks for this understanding which is common across all aspects of the site management. This is further complicated because most of the personnel responsible for admin are all in different time zones so the window of opportunity for joint discussions is quite short.

I must admit I get a bit fed up with the logging in problem. I have no trouble for days and days and then it starts again. The only thing that works for me every time is to go to the main page, log out, go to the forum and then log in. I understand the problems and just get on with it but it does stop me from coming in as often as I used to or would like to. Being retired and at home most of the time I usually come in many times each day but now I just can't be bothered. I know it's me and I shouldn't be like that but all my regular sites are bookmarked and just one click and I'm there and logged in. I can view all the new posts on all my regulars in just a couple of minutes or less. This forum takes me longer to log in (when I have the problem) than checking new posts on all the others put together. Sorry if this sounds unreasonable but (as I am getting old now) I'm entitled to be a Grumpy Grandad.

Jim, if you haven't already, then please take a look at this, for login to forum, without least problems. I hope this will be of any help.

This problem is never going to go away. The link between Drupal and vB sucks, first one to come up with a solution will likely become very rich.

Anupam, I tried everything - including all suggested in that link. Absolutely NOTHING works every time except go to main site, log out, go to forum and then login. It may not sound like a big deal but it really bugs me now after all this time when I can go to every other site that I am a member of and log in automatically and immediately just by selecting it in my bookmarks/favorites.

Each time when I'm in a logged out status on a forum page, I just click on this link, it will bring up a bigger login screen below. I just key in the correct id and password in the boxes at the center and the forum will log me in, so far without a failure and without the need to go back to the main site. Not sure if it's just me.
