Default "Invisible Status" option not available

Looked in the User CP. The FAQ's say that this option is supposed to be available and it is not. Therefore, even when I am not even logged into this forum, the little green button is lit up, showing that I am online, and I don't feel comfortable with that. I deleted the techsupportalert cookies in my browser and rebooted, then checked the forum on a different computer and the green button was still lit up.

Am I missing something here? I really don't feel good about this at all.

The site is also not automatically clearing the cookies when I log out. I have manually cleared the techsupportalert cookies. I have cleaned out the cache, problem still persists.

Hi Ame,

you should be be able to set the Invisible Mode in 'Edit Options'. The latter is a link on the left side of your User CP page.

The main site (Drupal) and the forum here (VBulletin) are linked together passing login/logout information. That link is not perfect and cookies get overseen but it offers other advantages. Try to click 'Log out' twice on the main site.

Surprise, surprise, George is right - left panel, "edit options" and there it is. One is never too old to learn, is one?

I can't find that feature, so looks like it is indeed only available to staff.

Angry George Orwell...Please Stand Up

And post a screenshot or a tut as a how-to-do.

I can not find the elusive mod either!

If "Staff Only" say so...

Sphincter Groups are rumbling as we discuss the pro and con.

Disinformation or head-in-the -sand tatics are short lived on the internet.

I have turned it on So you should be able to use it - let me know here of any trouble. Please be aware, that using "invisible mode" will not hide you from the staff, they will even see you're cruising in "invisible mode".
