Default Bit of a worry

new

Have given up trying to use the new forum. Won't accept my existing password and when I try to set up a new account just end up being redirected back to the Tech Support home page!

It is important to know that the TSA login is bridged to the forum. Should you be logged out in one of them, always go to the TSA main site, log out (if you are not already) and log back in. This will renew your sessions in both.

Best regards,
George

Hi - Sorry, but I am at a loss too. I cannot 'Log-in' using the dialogue boxes on the forum home page (top right hand side). But if I access the 'User Control Panel' I can log-in okay from there. That is a bit of a pain in the you know what. Why won't the normal log-in accept my username and password but the User Control Panel will?

cheers.....JIM

I take one more step ahead: Delete cookies, then I can log in using the dialogue boxes without fail.

Is there any better way? (if one chooses to log in using dialogue boxes)

I log out of the prior site, then log back in to the new site. It works for me; but it's kind of a pain to have to re-login every time.

Hi George - I did read your post but it didn't relate to my problem (at least I don't think it did). When I go directly to the forum site and am not logged in anywhere, I am unable to log-in via the dialogue box. I have to go the user control panel to log-in.

cheers...JIM

Hi grimbles,

how do you get to the User Control Panel when you are not logged in?

Regards,
George

Hi George - It's a tad convoluted but here is what I do: Click on 'Members List', find my username and click on it. Then I click on "Find all threads started by grimbles". That opens a page which includes a menu box for 'Forum Jump'. From there I select the 'User Control Panel' option and a log-in screen pops up. That is the log-in function which works for me. I don't actually get access to the User Control Panel without logging in so, apologies for misleading.

cheers......JIM

Hey Jim,
I see. But if that login works, then the TSA login must work too. Because that VB login screen is simply calling the TSA login with your credentials.
