How Does Imaging software work ?

Thanks for Advice, Av Crazy. Time permitting, I'm gonna download macrium and test it out side by side with paragon.

Both programs do indeed have rescue CD features but my laptop "slim drive" or should I say "slime drive" burner has slooooow writing speed and my prior attempts at a rescue CD have failed possibly a hardware problem or probably my brain's software problem of rushing instead of not patiently following the exact procedures.

there is an option to make a rescue cd
i have made that rescue cd which is in iso format and its just 8 mb
u just have to burn that iso in a cd
and boot with that cd
a linux kind os will open in which macrium will give option to restore pc with the image that had been created which could be in any non os partition

and as i have mentioned i still havent got a chance to do a restore coz nothing has happened yet to my pc :fingers crossed:

but i guess this method is a lot faster then the one u r using
there must be an option to make rescue cd like dis in paragon too
try that instead of the lenghty process u mentioned

Paragon has a "recovery media builder" under the tools menu.
