Default Category Review Updated

DLC50 has now completed an excellent re-write of this review which you can check out here:

http://www.techsupportalert.com/best...ng-program.htm

Although not the easiest part of PC maintenance to understand, this article makes the application simple enough and should help all of you out there who have been putting this off. I guess more folks wish they had done this when that blue screen appears (or no screen ) than for any other operation

Very nice article - well done!

It also shows that the structure of our articles is quite flexible. This article contains a good deal of background information in the introduction - if you don't want to read that you can easily scroll down to the single product reviews - if you don't need that either you can just scroll down further to look at the quintessence of the category.

Agreed with George. That's the fifth and highest element (Quick Selection Guide) of an article at TSA after Intro, Discussion, Related Products/Links and Tags.

Well I glad to read this. I thought that maybe it was too long. I am trying to gather some links to articles and tutorials to add to the review so that people that are not using disk imaging will have something to go too and I looked and looked for something that was not product specific and I just remembered about Gizmo's tutorial "Never Reinstall Windows Again". If anyone knows anything to add, let me know.

Was this the one that went ....use Ubuntu instead?

I've mailed you by the way about some of the comments. This type of trash is typical when either an article gets updated or a new editor takes over. They're mostly either made through ignorance so need support and encouragement, or with malicious intentions to goad you into a response. This type will die away soon when the source gets bored and moves into another category.

If any editor is unsure about how to respond to a particular comment then please ask.

Congrats DLC50! Outstanding job on the rewrite! Paragon Free imaged my drive, verified, and restored problem free. I am working from a restored archive image.

Yes, quite! I chose to download Paragon on DLC50's recommendation as I have not tried a disk imager since my computer's original Drive Image SE. That program apparently is no more. My version would only copy to floppy disk!

I previously tried Macrium with poor results. Today I read the very well-written review and will try Paragon tomorrow.

Thanks for the hard work, Kyuzo.

Thumbs up Re: Drive Imaging

Ditto on congrats!

I've had great success with Paragon Backup an Recovery 10.2 Free Edition.

I keep OS partition (currently Vista Home Premium) limited to Vista and installed programs.

On a separately created basic partition, I keep everything else including OS backups.

I don't use optical disks anymore. They've caused me too many problems, admittedly mostly due to my improper burning and forgetting where I kept the dang things.

Of course, I use remote internet backup too just in case the hard drive physically becomes nil due to being swept out to sea due to a tunami or sumtin.

Default Paragon backup & Recovery 10 home Special

Paragon backup & Recovery 10 home Special is offered FREE here. But you only have 24 hours left.

Cheers

Anybody have any thoughts about this free version versus Paragon Drive Backup 9.5 Professional Edition? I understand that the version I currently have (9.5) is no longer supported. I did receive it free during some give-away fairly recently.
