Hi
How does Paragon Drive Backup 9.0 Express compare to those reviewed? I have read mixed reports about it, both good and not so good. Cheers ________________________________________ this thread moved here from the Drive Imaging review page |

I recently installed both Paragon 9.0 Express and DriveImage XML. The major differences I observed between the two are:
1) Paragon appears to take a much shorter time to backup my 89GB image. 2) Paragon gives the option to do a 'verification' of image file after backing up. 3) DriveImage XML is able to 'browse' and extract individual files from the 89GB file....I like this feature. My preference is for DriveImage...as long as I can the fix the problem I have where when I boot (with BartPE or UBCD4WIN) I can't see my external USB. If not I'll go with Paragon, since it sees my external drive when I boot with the Paragon boot CD. sam ________________________________________ this thread moved here from the Drive Imaging review page |

As far as I know Drive Backup 9.0 Express also allows you browsing images created by its own. The browsing feature is called File Transfer Wizard and it enters .pbf images easily. When compared to full version of Drive Backup 9.0 the Express free version is limited somehow in components and tools. Its aim to take backup image of the system and data partitions in easiest and simlest way plus create boot media (USB pen drive!!!) and let you restore from the image when needed.
Full version has wider range of tools included, WinPE2.0 for example. |
