I have been thinking ..... if we want to help someone solve the problems that he's having with his computer, wouldn't it better if we know some information about his system beforehand ?
Example ...a guy post "spybot S&D hang!!" (I know it don't usually hang ,but just a an example (: So when we try to help him ,we will have to ask "what OS are you on?" "x64 or x86?" and so on So why don't we just have a little information about our desktop or lappy a attached to our user account ? If you click on my name ,you will see [View public profile] [Send a private message to SW. Jimmy] [Send email to SW. Jimmy] [Find More Posts by SW. Jimmy] [Add SW. Jimmy to Your Contacts] Why don't we add one more ...let's say [View SW. Jimmy's system] So in the end, it will look like ... [View public profile] [View SW. Jimmy's system] (added one) [Send a private message to SW. Jimmy] [Send email to SW. Jimmy] [Find More Posts by SW. Jimmy] [Add SW. Jimmy to Your Contacts] Now every time we try to help someone ,it will be easier |

This is a valid point but there are two others to consider. A lot of folks appreciate this already and post accordingly and many of those who don't are not at the stage of realizing that it's necessary otherwise they wouldn't be asking for help. Requesting personal system details to be held in the user accounts would a) put a lot of people off and b) not get provided.
We could always make submitting a Belarc profile compulsory otherwise I think we just have to continue as we are. For regular posters, editors and the mods team, a lot of this stuff is repetitive but we live with it because for the people who are asking this is usually their first time.
