Smile Would it be nice if we have a live chat room?

What do you think?

That would require a java based applet, or another software on the site. Don't know, if with the present setup its possible or not. Anyways, that's not the purpose of this site. So, although it would be nice... I don't think we will be doing that. Thanks for the suggestion anyways.

There are also the security and monitoring implications to consider. I agree that it would be great if a whole bunch of folks could get together here but I'm not sure that our community status has the resources to manage such a venture.

Thumbs down

this is what we used, been around for several years now.

http://www.filetopia.com/

but a site like this need's no chat, more problems and many, many, hard feelings.

some people can't get along with themselves much less play nice with others.

An IRC channel would be pretty cool, instant tech support!

A way for the community and editors to get involved even more.

Thumbs down Like sheep to slaughter...

IRC is NOT safe for newbies or trusting people.

I think the editors have a full plate already, and real lives.

This issue has been discussed before, and solution was also provided. No need to comment on it like this. We have already explained in detail, and numerous number of times, why the login procedure is a little typical. Even after various solutions, and helpful posts, you still find it difficult, you can search for a different site... we won't tolerate such comments.
