Default Microsoft names ex-antivirus employee as botnet 'suspect'

Microsoft did not name the company - however Mr Sabelnikov's LinkedIn profile lists St Petersburg-based antivirus firm Agnitum among Mr Sabelnikov's former employers.
Conspiracy theories about "AV vendors employing ex-employees to create malware" may start now.

In a previous discussion with George, we talked about it. This theory is not crazy thing at all. Surely security is a very profitable business. Btw I should add, I haven't used and antivirus in the last 2 years, only for testing purposes and as I mentioned in another thread, It's all a common sense matter. No virus .

Same here....I do admit that I have a portable emsisoft with all updates and the windows malicious software removal tool which I hardly use, but would come handy while cleaning someone else's infected computer.

Software like sandboxie is making av\anti malware\whatever they call it now suites redundant.

Add that with the constantly improving security of windows.

I think many AV experts are experienced one way or another. As long as they don't perform malicious tasks while working with anti-viruses, it's fine imo.
