Well, yes and no. It does and it doesn't help. On my Windows, it helped tremendously but on my Linux, it doesn't (common sense). On my Linux, I followed this guide here: http://www.linuxsir.org/bbs/showthread.php?p=1547199

I followed it down to the letter but aside from what's written on that guide, I did something that caused my Firefox to lose the ability to display alphanumerical text on the address bar, tabs, Google search box, bookmarks, download box and etc, and instead of chinese text, nothing is displayed there. Also, chinese text is displayed in the Firefox's File, Edit, View bar, add-ons, right-click menus and etc.

The extra thing I did was install a couple more fonts than need to in step 1 and I also installed these:

firefox-l10n-zh-cn (Chinese (China) language package for firefox)
firefox-l10n-zh-tw (Chinese (Taiwan) language package for firefox)

Yes, I installed both because I want view both simplified and traditional chinese. I think this is what caused my Firefox to have such problems, but then again, I faced the same problem when I tried to use Epipany web browser in my Linux.

I'm not sure what to do now, I could use Konqueror web browser but it can't display chinese text and it's a bit slow.

I tried uninstalling the two language packages but what happened is that nothing is displayed, no chinese text, nor is there any alphanumerical text (I mean the web browser, not the content of the website).

Right now, I'm typing this post using Firefox but it's a bit awkward to use since I can't see what I type in the address bar.

Creating a new profile may help (http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles), or reinstalling.
If you don't want to lose your personal information, just export + import your bookmarks, and use Password Exporter (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2848).
As for your add-ons and their settings, use FEBE (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2109), and OPIE (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6152).

Well, creating a new profile didn't help, so did reinstalling. I'm beginning to wonder whether it's Firefox's fault or something else. I think I better ask in the Linux section about that HowTo guide I followed.
