I finally turned off the news last night because it was wall to wall coverage. As predicted there were large jubilant crowds cheering Bil Laden's death.
I was sitting in silence trying to see if I felt any happiness over his death. Instead I found myself grieving over the intense hatred he placed in our hearts. Wdhpr |

Yes, it did seem anti-climatic. The conspiracy theory scribes, will be sharpening their pencils with vigor i think. No pictures, or video. Firefight in a million dollar mansion, which happens to be a stones throw from a Army barracks. Not a cave in sight. DNA results quicker than a spin of a roulette wheel. Burials at sea. Etc etc..... Can i be the first to cast doubt with a little help from Fidel Castro; http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worl...CIA-agent.html |

settingsuns, Castro is famous for his lies. For me, if he calls something
"white", I know is "black". Listen to him, this were his first lies, in English. #1 For news media during the uprising against Batista in 1958 and #2 and #3 in NYC, Abril 1959. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Meugs...eature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_V7M...feature=fvwrel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNlKF...eature=related On my side of the World we know him as a liar, that's what hes been doing for 50 years in addition to destroying Cuba, murdering his people, exporting failed ideas and revolution to Latin America and hating the United States. During the Cold War he was considered a extremist by........the Soviets. Yes, even the Soviets knew what he is, dont get fooled by characters like him or Guevara. Now, about Bin Ladin. I believe he is dead, paid for his crimes and I also believe that the details that you mention on your post can be explained. Bo |

The one certain thing is that the USA would never allow a land burial (if such circumstances were within their control) and so create a shrine or even a possible place of "pilgrimage" for Bin Laden.

Some pretty incriminating links there against FC. Thanks for taking the time to shoot down my flippant reference from the Cuban dictator. You must excuse my poorly written post, seeming to give credence to the tyrant. Please accept my sincere apologies. I too, believe Bin Laden is dead for sure. My tongue-in-cheek post was written as a, lets expect to see plenty of this type of article in the future. Though, i now appreciate, those types of replies, are best left to the more seasoned writer. ![]() Unfortunately, as with the Moon landings and Obama's place of birth, i can foresee numerous column inches, and books, focusing on the lack of this aspect, or that point, etc etc. Only this morning i found the following article; http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_theloo...-sea-a-mistake Have a nice day Bo. |

Hi settingsuns, Castro gets to me, in my heart I feel very close to Cuban
people, as a matter of fact I feel I have more in common with Cubans than with my (countries) neighbors. To finish on Castro, maybe you like to take a look at this article written about Armando Valladares, a Cuban poet who at the age of 22 was imprisoned by Castro, like many to stiff prison (23 years) terms. After he was freed in the 1980s he became US Ambassador to the UN human rights commission during President Reagan's time. This article is about Mr Valladares memoirs, "Against all hope", great book by a good man. Make sure you read the last paragraph on the second and final page. http://www.nytimes.com/1986/06/08/bo...l?pagewanted=1 About Bin Ladens burial at sea. I do believe that was the right decision, why create a possible place of pilgrimage as MC stated on his post. The unsung heroes here are the intelligence officers in the ground, were there for a few months, got the needed information and did not get caught. Take care Bo |
