Default How do MAC and PC Users Differ?

A bit of harmless profiling and skewing.

Hi Garth. V interesting indeed. Millions of responses it seems- so there must be an element of correctness you would think? There's a lot of yes's on both sides of the divide that apply to me personally. Though, i have never been in the presence of a Screaming Orgasm- at least i don't think so. I wouldn't advise driving a Harley after a couple of those Vodka and Amaretto drinks anyhow.

Since when are PC users Windows only? I doubt the accuracy of this report.

I think MAC (too many) owners are over confident and wrong when they
think that "Oh, I have a MAC, you don't get viruses on a MAC".
For example, a keylogger infecting a MAC can read information and send
it home.

I think like all statistical reports based on surveys, unless every single person in the world to whom the survey relates has actually taken part, you're never going to get pinpoint accuracy. They can only collate the data they have, and the next umpteen million question responses might have produced a completely different report, but it's interesting nonetheless.

I don't recall ever drinking that particular cocktail myself and would take a Yamaha or a Honda any day over a Harley or a Vespa

Do you think if the preferences of PC Linux users had been reported separately from the Windows PC users the report would have shown a greater fondness for hummus among the PC people?

I think in order to be a PC user, you need to have a great sense of hummus!

No serious debate on MAC vs PC could ignore Italian philosopher Umberto Eco's assessment, which was strictly confined to Mac vs MS rather than MacdonaldS.

Please note that being tongue in cheek and just for amusement, these observations are not open to weighty theological or religious debate... Or at least not here. Thanks

I'm not owning this comment because it came from my tech

MAC users - more money than sense
Linux users - more sense than money
PC Users - not much of either, but very good for business

A very valuable addition the the article, which I think is enormously interesting. I lreally laughed about the Vespa statistics.

What I am missing int that list, and here is my homage to MC's addition, is that MAC users are senselessly willing to spent totally overpriced amounts of money for the same result or functions. I still feel the kernel of computing is still the same in Windows and MAC. Apple just adds the illusion of "standing out" by being the underdog with a better design and packaging.

However, one can not deny that Apple came up with great technical concepts as well (mouse, dock, pad, etc). However, it's not worth the money they ask for it.

I also have to admit, it's good to have Apple around for competition and for threads like this one.
