Default Yet Another Internet Linked Tragedy

Despite the overall level of violence here, this was still very much out of character for Brazil.

It seems that even in countries like this now, the warning signs associated with such behavior are either being missed or ignored. Naturally people with certain personality types will be more vulnerable to the influences found on the internet.
This is also another example of how important it is for parents to know just as much about what their children might be doing in the virtual world as the real one.

I'm afraid this phenomena is only going to get worse as parents allow the TV and Violent video games to raise and inform their children. Couple this with myspace and facebook accounts that provide avenues to spew hatred with little or no consequences its no wonder the problem isn't worse.

There are simple things we as parents can do. One of the most important things I do is to always have dinner at the dining room table. Take some time and just talk. Talk about anything and eventually you will get insight on whats going on in your kids life.

Remains to be seen if this below incident is internet related, but, nevertheless these events do seem to be happening all too often. Very sad reflection on society as a whole i feel.

Take your own life by all means. But the killing of innocents is reprehensible.

I have to admit the exact same thought went through my mind when I saw this on the BBC.
