I have got my win7 home laptop set up with my alternative version on XP mode that is for win7 professional, Because it seemed like a worthwhile thing to do. But now i have it im thinking why do i have it, I have nearly all the programs i need on my win7 laptop, The only one i havnt got is DVD43, and im using the experimental version of Gimp that runs on 64bit and it works perfectly on my win7.
So i know i made some sacrifices when i moved to win 7 but i have forgotten what programs i use to have, So im looking for suggestions, just for a reason to keep XP mode. What worthwhile decent programs are on XP but not for Win 7 Otherwise i will just use it for some games.

Games - Good Incentive to keep XP Mode - but playing games in VM could be very slow.
Though there are many articles in google which guides how to boot the VM in the hardware directly without base OS overhead (I am yet try it) - here performance issue should be taken care off. Give a try - if that works well i will also try...
