Here is the ‘secret recipe’:

* Fluid extract of Coca 3 drams USP
* Citric acid 3 oz
* Caffeine 1oz
* Sugar 30 (it is unclear from the markings what quantity is required)
* Water 2.5 gal
* Lime juice 2 pints 1 qrt
* Vanilla 1oz
* Caramel 1.5oz or more to colour
* 7X flavour (use 2oz of flavour to 5 gals syrup):
* Alcohol 8oz <------------- HUH?
* Orange oil 20 drops
* Lemon oil 30 drops
* Nutmeg oil 10 drops
* Coriander 5 drops
* Neroli 10 drops
* Cinnamon 10 drops

I cannot believe there is alcohol in the Coke recipe!!!Surely, the followers of Islam would be furious. Shares to plunge me thinks.

Judging by MC's post i would say there is definitely alcohol in coke when he drinks it

As there is already 22 pints of liquid (20 pints of water plus 2 pints of lime juice) 8 fl oz (approx 237 ml) seems quite small. Also, the list does not stipulate the strength of the alcohol which is probably needed as a preservative.

MC prefers JD while I prefer vodka!
