Me ? I am located in the outer suburbs of London UK.
Enjoying the incompetence of a wrecked economy, taxed to the hilt on everything needed to live, astronomic national debt combined with massive Overseas Aid, interest rates a disgrace, sky high prices, high crime levels, restricted personal freedom in all areas and generally a typical sacrificial citizen of Rip-Off Britain. Apart from that, life is wonderful. Rule Britannia. Where in this precious World of ours do you live ? Last edited by Rottie; 30. Sep 2010 at 12:55 PM. |

I live in Nicaragua, a rich country but impoverished by the dictator that
we have at the moment and his cronies. Ortega is a mixture of Pol Pot, Saddam H and Castro, what a mix. Nicaraguans love freedom and sooner or later Nicaragua will be a Republic again. At the moment in Latin America we have a group of adventurers led by Hugo Chavez(Venezuela) that are doing what it takes to destroy our countries but freedom always wins and there adventure will eventually crash. ![]() Bo |

I live in a country that has successfully repelled invaders for nearly a thousand years. It's a place with an incredibly rich and colourful history, a place of innovation and invention. The people in my country work the longest hours in western Europe and are taxed the most heavily, yet still they give to those who have nothing and fight for those that cannot fight for themselves. The people in my country are strong, resilient, tolerant and loyal to their friends and allies. So we have some problems as pointed out at the top of this thread, and our ruling elite are corrupt and incompetent fools, but compared to what bo and his countrymen endure on a daily basis i think we have it pretty sweet. My home is England, my country is Britain and i will not be defeated by a mere cashflow crisis.

garth thanks to Britain and The United States freedom still reins across the
World. There was a time when I knew the name of every Englisk king from Edward I to the last of the Stuarts, very rich history. Be proud of Britain, I would be if I had been born there. My country s politicians are of the worst kind but Nicaragua is a very nice country to live, as long as you dont get involved in politics things are fine. My country s nickname is ''Land of lakes and volcanos'' Bo |

I am bo. For sure my country has it's flaws and its darkside, but don't they all? It looks amazing where you live. You see that castle in the picture on my original post? That began as an iron age fort 2500 years ago. I played there when i was a kid. Cool huh

My profile (as you can see) says Ashford Kent. Actually, I live in a small village just a few miles outside Ashford. The Ashford district actually consists of Ashford, Tenterden and 25 small villages. When we were first moving to our village I Googled information from the local police website. You had to follow link after link: Information for your area, Problems in your area, crime information in your area. Eventually the last link: Nature of problems in your area: vehicle problems. (I thought vandalism? car theft?) Nature of problem: tractors being driven irresponsibly. Action taken: the farmer concerned has been spoken to and has agreed to cooperate. I thought "That'll do for me." Very quiet, beautiful views, not far from motorway or main town. Also, not for nothing is Kent described as "The garden of England." Was born in Kent but lived many other places - including Spain. Happy to live out my days here (unless something changes things of course
