After the better-than-expected sale of iPad, Asus plans to launch its Eee Pad.

Here is my problem. I hate people touching my screen. Like when they want to show me something on the display they put their fatty, still-mayonaise-from-lunch-sandwich fingers onto my screen and leave a mess all over my beautiful shiny monitor surface. I could kill when that happens. The screen is an absolute non-touch object to me.
Now they are producing a device that requires touching. Uargh!!! How could I ever use such a thing. I have nightmares just thinking about that...

I too would have an issue with the greasy fingerprints but it's not only that. I would miss my keyboard and mouse for one, and once the novelty of the touch screen had worn off, i just don't think i could live with this type of machine. Other than allowing me to make believe it was an iphone and i was a midget, i don't see any advantage over a traditional laptop. That said, it's still clever tech.

) will have their niche in the market.Unlike the heavier tablet notebooks which require users to flip up, turn around and flip down the LCD screen which look odds to me, the lighter "Padbooks" have a better design. Like the one shown on YouTube, I can use it with the keyboard or I can detach the LCD screen and use it as a standalone unit. It's a great design. |

but more appropriately most people just say a screen protector. A stylus is also often used to avoid "still-mayonaise-from-lunch-sandwich" fingers from touching the screen.
