Default Google apologizes for gabbing Wi-Fi info

This might interest some of you. Seems that Google were doing more than just taking pictures of our houses. You can read about it here

I am a bit paranoid by nature, and perhaps read George Orwell too early in life, but I often get the feeling that Google may be becoming a dark cloud in the internet's sky. Maybe not Big Brother, but perhaps a Large Cousin. Google's services to its customers have allowed it global mapping, targeted marketing, an untold repository of personal search information and now Wi-Fi surveillance, among other devices of which I'm unaware.

Still, I must admit that Google is my homepage, so I can't really complain. I suppose I should start practicing now on my Google corporate salute...
