Default Will mobile computing free up the Internet?

It looks like the open source Android 'phones are doing quite well, thank you, compared to proprietary competitors.

RIM owns business yuppies who want blackberries and unnecessary gold-plated watches as part of their business uniform. Apple owns the more cents than sense crowd who don't want to be bothered by the complexities of openness. But, for the majority, price and versatility of Android trump brand loyalty. These people moving from non-smart phones are putting Android on top.

Palm, etc. RIP.

I tell people of the simple cure cancer, they dispute me. I tell people how to have unlimited free energy, they argue. I tell them that Palm is dead, they contradict me.
