Default Movie of the Decade?

OK - stretching things a bit far but from a psychological perspective (and some others?) I was riveted to this from start to finish. Without the archive footage however, I'd have probably dismissed it as total crap after the first few minutes.

The Fourth Kind

No, I mean the material actually used in the movie.

I was aware of the marketing gone mad campaign which prompted the settlement paid to the local hack.

There are similarly documented incidents here in Teresopolis, but I'm not worried about this personally because if I was ever abducted by aliens they'd soon bring me back to get some peace

I can't honestly say that I have seen a complete movie that was made in the decade. Isn't that crazy? In the 80's and early 90's I watched a gazillion movies but somewhere I lost interest in watching them.

See District 9 and District 13, with EN subtitles. One South African, one French.

Good stories, well made, great films. Fun and escapism of the best kind. Not sure why I picked two non-Hollywood films, no reason really. But they have something new that will be of interest to you, JD. If you can get to a 3D theatre then Avatar would be nice, but it's not a truly great film on the PC screen. I'd go to iMax to see it though, would be fun.

Also some good TV series around like The Beast, House MD. Just watched Apocalypto, a kind of Sam Peckinpah-Aztec flick you might say, by Mel Gibson; not in the same class as the first two though.
